Don’t know about you,

but I’m fond of blurry work-in-progress shots.

Embroidery in progress

This piece is finished now, aside from a little pressing and backing. I think I’ve got an idea for a way to finish these for display that doesn’t require putting them in hoops. (I certainly hope so. I got fed up with hoops recently, and have started working without again. I need a thimble. I know I had thimbles at one point, but who knows where they ended up? My grandmother would be so disappointed with me.)

into the square

This turned out better than I hoped it would.

I read an extremely satisfying book which I got unexpectedly because somebody had an extra galley.

A friend of mine randomly showed up just as I was about to give up on being a civilized human being, and we chatted just long enough that work didn’t seem so bad afterwards.

After three and a half years, I have set foot in my local public library. I have a library card and a mission. Wish me luck.

It’s true. Seasons are pretty neat.

This may not look like much, but it’s the best thing I’ve seen in months. Well, it kind of feels that way, anyway.

light

Do you see how there’s almost some light left in the sky? (The blue part. That’s sky.) There’s hope! Spring might come again! It was after six o’clock in the evening when I took this. Also, we’ve seen the sun for like three days in a row, and it’s kind of mindblowing.

I’ve got a huge post in the offing, which is probably going to be offensive, so I’m going to wait until a slow weekend to make it public. I’m also still thinking about the anti-university project, and I’d like to think some of my ideas have been all right. I’ll share sometime soon, I think.

Until then, if you have sunlight available: go enjoy it.
