I think I remember where I took this, but I’m not saying anything. Just in case. I suppose that’s one of the risks of taking the same sort of picture over and over again – the early evening clouds and sun shot is one of my favorites. (One day I need to start carrying a proper camera again, too, because it is often impossible to capture the nuances I actually want with a digital camera. Especially when the camera in question is the one attached to my phone. Then again, living in the future is amazing.)

It is very difficult to take a halfway decent picture at twilight while walking. Even of something very large.

At Plympton and Bow St.
It’s not all doom and gloom.

After work (which I left late, because I still have a work ethic for some bizarre reason), me and Ferdinand (my bike) went to visit the Christian Scientists. It was lovely. When I arrived, there was a charming group of people with drums.
Also, it turns out that it really is awesome to ride down Mass Ave. Who knew?
I’m not being shrill.
Thursday, August 6th, 2009One of the things that happens, and I’m not sure it’s conscious or not, when my boss gets complaints: he gets passive-agressive. More so than usual. I say this because I came in to work this morning (yesterday was my day off) and found piles of books (230 of them) on the floor in front of overstock.
Was there a note? No. Just books. I could’ve guessed what he wanted done, but I shouldn’t have to. And I shouldn’t have to wait over an hour to hear it from him.
(I shouldn’t call his “office” and find out that someone who doesn’t even work there has opened it, an hour after it’s supposed to open, again.)
While I’m indulging in wishful thinking, I shouldn’t have to listen to him tell me to do something I do every day, like it’s a novel thing that never gets done.
And when I bring this to the attention of his managers, I don’t think “Don’t take this the wrong way, but you need to be less thin-skinned” is an appropriate response.
(On the other hand, the other manager is being remarkably reasonable with me. And I got to hold the bunny and feed him cilantro.)
