Annie has been playing with string to make things since she was old enough to reliably not eat it. She started knitting in earnest in her late teens, when she attempted to make what would have been, in retrospect, a very uncomfortable sweater. She has learned a lot about fiber since that time, and now chooses yarns based on fiber content and drape as well as color. Annie also weaves and spins, and she enjoys working with paper. She lives in Maynard, MA with her husband and two small cats.

Regina learned how to fold paper cranes as a very small child; it took her many years of effort to go through the enormous box of origami paper her parents let her use, but she persevered. She learned how to knit several times, finally managed to retain the skill in her late teens, and learned how to purl six years later. Incidentally, probably as a result of reading too much, she did two years of a graduate program in book arts. She regrets nothing, although she's thrilled to be living in Massachussetts.
